ABOUT
Meet Jozie

Jozie McCleve is a folk singer-songwriter with a lifelong passion for music. She wrote her first song at 13 on the piano in her parents’ living room in Idaho Falls and hasn’t stopped writing since. Her love for singing began even earlier—at just 7 years old, she performed for the first time with her family band at a folk festival in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Now based in Rexburg, Idaho while attending BYU–Idaho, Jozie has performed throughout the greater Idaho Falls area—including Pocatello, Tetonia, Rigby, and more—as well as at venues in Northern Utah. Blending folk and country influences, her nostalgic, story-driven songs are known for evoking deep emotion and forming a powerful connection with listeners.
Her work has earned recognition both locally and internationally, including first place in BYU–Idol for voice (Winter 2021) and a Top 10 placement in the international category of Song Academy’s Young Songwriter competition (2020).

I love this song. Thank you for your song and your talent. This song really hits home, especially since my most recent breakup. I too have a musical background, but find it difficult to eek out any lyrics. Thanks again.

Really good! There's something very special in your performance. They say Maurice Ravel once said "The strongest expression of a whole orchestra is the pianissimo" ... I think the power of your songs comes from that direction :) Thanks for sharing.
